Supply List:
Students are required to bring the following supplies to class each day. Storage space in
class will be provided so the student can leave their supplies in the
classroom
Required
1. Acrylic Paint
Thalo Blue
Cadmium Red light
Cadmium Yellow light or lemon yellow
Ivory black
White
2. Brushes
A variety of sizes of Flat brushes. A good starting point is one that
is least a ½ inch wide and
one larger and one smaller.
rigor or script brush (about # 4 or 5) for small branches and
details
Assorted round and filbert
brushes
3. Vine Charcoal Small package, use for sketching
4. Palette Knife- If your
only getting one, the pointed ones are more versatile.
5. Canvas- 16x20 stretched canvas is a good average size. You will need
larger or smaller ones depending on your subject matter. You can also you other
types of canvas, wood, cardboard, canvas board,
etc.
6. Rags
7. Apron or Smock
8. Painting box- Plastic fishing lure box/storage box
Optional Supplies:
While you can create painting with the required colors there are certain hues that you can not
get without some of these other colors. Depending on what your subject matter will be this year, you will need to purchase some of these colors to broaden your palette.
